Are you serious right now?

This is one of my favorite phrases. As far as I know, it was invented by my daughter. There's a funny thing about inventions and it is this: Everything that is made was made. Whether it be a car, a song, or a new genetically-modified plant, it comes down to the fact that we are just reorganizing from existing things. And its like this: you give someone a tool chest full of tools and present them with a car; they change the oil; then they claim they invented the car.....

Are you serious right now? I don't think so.

John 1:3

Everything came into existence through him. Not one thing that exists was made without him.

Love, Acceptance, Fulfillment, Peace, and Joy

Completely yours today, just for the asking.

You have to ask the right person.

Hint: there is only one such person.

What is Your Point?

What is your point? Why are you here?

There is good news. Truth is alive. God created the world and everything in it. He created you on purpose and with purpose. This Living God comes at you with all of love. Read all about it in the Bible. Start with the book of John in the New Testament.

Get hold of your destiny today. It is a good one. The real deal.

Time as an Absolute

Time as an absolute: On the face of it, you know this notion won't hold up to any real scrutiny.

Time and space are part of the same continuum. We know from the physics of general relativity that space can be warped and therefore time along with it.

If we say that the universe is 14,000,000,000 years old, then what amount of credibility can such a statement muster? Not much. Maybe about as much as I've been working on the railroad all the live long day.

Baby Logic

If, then.
If biological macro-evolution is true, then people came from cavemen who came from mud, etc.
Then it follows that babies born in 2011 should be smarter, overall, than babies born in 2010.
And babies born in 2010 should be smarter than those born in 1960.
And babies born in 1960 should be smarter than those born in 1860.
And, certainly, babies born in 1860 must be smarter than those born in 860.
Is there any evidence for this assertion? Does it make any sense?
If babies are getting smarter and smarter, then so too must their mothers and fathers.
Now you know it makes no sense.
Honestly now.

Just Thinking: Those architects of the Great Pyramids, born over 4,000 years ago, must have really gotten super lucky to pull that off.

Take a test to see how you have evolved since you were born:

Sunshine Power

Do you ever wonder about the energy that the Earth gets from the Sun? Here are some fun facts from the University of Oklahoma's department of Geology and Geophysics:

  • incoming radioactive energy = 38 trillion watts = 38,000,000,000,000 joules per second
  • heat flux  = 0.075 watts per square meter  (average over Earth surface)
That's about 350 watts if you could grab everything hitting your very king-size one-acre yard. So you could run a couple of light bulbs and a (not too big) TV. But in places like Florida, we have much more power to work with. Next time, we'll take a look at that.

रेलिगिओं इन AMERICA

We're not supposed to have an established religion in America, but we do, and it's called Darwinism. --- Ben Stein

If time and space are of one continuum, and if space can be warped, cannot time also be warped?

Working Quotes

Think big and work small.

We don't know what we're doing but we know where we're going.

If we knew what we were doing it wouldn't be research.

Commitment

Intentions are cheap. Words are cheaper. Commitment is expensive.
